The Volunteer Exchange Program recruits volunteers for non-profit. health related and governmental agencies. Volunteers are recruited through public service announcements featured in newspaper, local community event announcements on television, corporate and school newsletters and bulletin boards.
Volunteers ranging from pre-school through 54-years of age provide services to schools, public libraries, animal shelters, convalescent homes, museums, youth/teen programs, seniors centers, drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs and environmental conservation programs, as well as many others too numerous to list. The Volunteer Center of Kern County has several programs and new projects to impact our community by addressing many issues relevant to Kern County and it’s diverse communities: Please contact us to obtain more information.
